Call for Short Courses – International Conference on Fluvial Sedimentology (ICFS 2027)

The Organizing Committee of the International Conference on Fluvial Sedimentology (ICFS 2027) invites members of the scientific community to propose short courses to be offered during the conference.

Short courses will take place on Wednesday, the day dedicated to educational, field, and cultural activities associated with the conference. Proposed courses should last 4 to 8 hours and may cover theoretical, methodological, analytical, computational, or applied topics in fluvial sedimentology and related disciplines.

We particularly encourage proposals that provide participants with practical skills, innovative approaches, emerging techniques, or interdisciplinary perspectives relevant to fluvial systems

This is an excellent opportunity to share expertise, engage with the international scientific community, and contribute to the training of students, early-career researchers, and professionals attending ICFS 2027.

Researchers interested in offering a short course are invited to submit a proposal until January 15th - 2027, including:

  • Title of the course;

  • Instructor(s) and institutional affiliation(s);

  • Brief course description (up to 300 words);

  • Target audience and number of students;

  • Expected duration (4 to 8 hours);

  • Any specific logistical or technical requirements.

We look forward to receiving your proposals and welcoming you to ICFS 2027 in Brazil.
