This event is addresses for scientists and students who are directly or indirectly involved in the study of sediment transport and deposition in rivers environments, as well as in sedimentary rocks formed within alluvial systems.
The aims is to consolidate existing knowledge in fluvial sedimentology, highlight recent discoveries, and explore emerging research areas and showcase new investigations across various geographic and geological settings.
This edition of the ICFS in particular, will seek to broaden the target audienceby including related topics at the interface of fluvial sedimentology with other areas. Among these topics, we can mention, for example: as river morphology, deltaic systems, palaeosols and soils in alluvial settings, sediment data quantification, river evolution and management, rivers as palaeobiological barriers, and historical interaction between rivers and human communities.
